Top men’s style resources

Tailored Suit

The trouble with style bloggers is everyone believes they are an expert! As with any endeavor, there are some good writers and there are a lot of bad ones.

To help you find your way through the minefield men’s style I have compiled a list of who I believe are the best of breed. Don’t take my word for it, take a look for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

If you have any others that should be on the list, leave a comment or drop me a line. Please note, this list is in no particular order, they’re all first class.

  • Origin: US
  • Style: Classic advice with lots of great information. It’s worth spending the time going through the back catalog of articles as there is a quality writing team here. Not just articles, videos too. One of their videos on shoes is the best I’ve seen for a long time.

Simon Crompton

  • Style: Traditional style with strong emphasis on quality heritage brands. This is the place to come to understand quality and how items are made. Simon is becoming something of an authority when it comes to British style writers.

  • Style: Aaron Marino, the man behind Alpha M image consulting is another prolific video blogger. Aaron’s you tube channel is packed full of men’s style advice that can only be described as ‘unique’. Agree or not with his views, he is completely watchable and a great entertainer. There is also sound advice and some great tips.

  1. Hi there,

I find your selection nice but a little bit too obvious. For those with an interest in men’s style they are rather well known. Aaron Marino is a fun guy but I can’t forgive him for his ‘black shoes’ episode on youtube – it is too american for my taste as is the whole RMRS site. Why not Mr. Porter?

    1. Hi Ian,

I don’t know if I’ve seen Aaron’s black shoes post, I’ll have to look it up. As for Mr Porter, I am a big fan of theirs, but they weren’t the resource they are now when I posted that article, it is a couple of years old now at least.

What you have highlighted is the need for an updated list, so I will work to get one up in the coming week or so. Thanks for the comment, it is appreciated.

  2. Some great men’s fashion and style sites in that list! It’s perfect that we now have a variety of men orientated fashion sites that we can turn to for information seeing as men’s fashion is such a growing market. Have a look at Inhale Fashion, and hopefully on your next update, we can be added to your list 🙂

    1. Hi Mike,

Thanks for the comment. I deliberated on this for a long time. I am a real fan of the styleblogger, but I don’t find myself compelled to visit as much as I used to say 6-18 months ago. Having said that, I do keep going back for more…..
