Gentleman’s Drinks – Alexander & James

Alexander&James

Looking for a special gift to really impress? Anyone can give a bottle of wine, but those in the know will go to Alexander & James for the premium gentleman’s drinks, perfectly presented for the modern gentleman.

When Alexander & James got in touch and asked me if I wanted to review something from their product line, I must admit to being slightly shy, when you see their amazing product line you will see why. Browse the elegant website and the quality of the design is apparent, amazingly the packaging of the delivered products is even higher.

I must confess to shooting a video review and replaying the initial moments of unboxing left me in a state of genuine shock. Unfortunately a technical issue meant the footage was consigned to the cutting room floor. What I can say is this has to be the most affordable luxury gift-set there is. As a premium retailer, the brands on offer are some of the very best from a selection of whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, tequila and liqueur.

Any box set from Alexander & James would be a delight if it only had a bottle of premium spirits, I was fortunate enough to also receive a beautiful hexagonal tall glass and a luxury coaster, details of the pack can be seen here.
The presentation box was the same as can be seen below, but instead of the contents pictured, I was lucky enough to receive a lovely bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold Label. It really turns the act of giving a bottle of something special into a really special experience.

If after reading this you are still stuck for inspiration, don’t worry, Alexander & James offer a selection of gift packs for the discerning gentleman. My pick of the bunch is the Talisker 10yr old with matching glasses. The perfect gift for birthdays or Christmas.

I’ve only recently gotten into whisky and other “gentlemen’s drinks,” so I’m pretty new to this. But I really like this idea.

Drinking “sets” like this are a great way to get introduced to some of the finer drinks out there. I not-so-subtly sent this to my girlfriend to put on my Xmas list! 🙂
